Strengthens the immune system.
Widespread: Cultivated on the plains, rarely found wild. Widespread in the European part of the Mediterranean.
Content: Up to 2.5% essential oil containing cineole, borneol, thujone, camphor, tannins, triterpenic acids (oleanol and ureolic) and alcohol (uvaol).
Drug used: The leaves. (Flora Salviae).
