Latin Name: Origanum vulgare

Family: Lamiaceae (Labiatae)

Main action: Expectorant, digestive stimulant.

It has a strong antioxidant effect, thanks to its high content of phenolic acids and flavonoids. It also has antimicrobial activity against food-borne pathogens.
