Also known as “natural aspirin”, the herb is among the most broad-spectrum. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, pain-relieving, antispasmodic, wound-healing and soothing effects. It is a powerful natural antibiotic. Thanks to its volatile oils and antibacterial properties, this herb is useful for joint pain and problems with the respiratory tract and stomach.
Widespread: It grows in grassy and abandoned places, near settlements, roads and in crops. It is distributed mainly in Southern and Eastern Europe up to 1000 meters above sea level.
Content: Essential oil with up to 10% hamazulene with an intense blue color, sesquiterpenes, flavonoids, flavone glucosides, sesquiterpene lactones, coumarins, carotenoids, mucilages.
Drug used: Flower baskets (Flores or Anthodium Chamomillae) collected when the tongues of the peripheral florets are in a horizontal position.
