An excellent diuretic and deals with infections and inflammations of the excretory system. It is used for bleeding gums and toothache, for headaches and migraines. It has good antioxidant power, restores sound sleep, increases appetite and protects the gastrointestinal tract. Recommended for allergies. It purifies the blood and liver, supports the bile, detoxifies the body, improves blood circulation and lowers blood pressure.
Widespread: It grows in grassy and scrubby places, in meadows, pastures and sparse forests. Widespread throughout Bulgaria from sea level to 1600 m above sea level. It is found all over Europe.
Content: It contains up to 0.5% essential oil, the bitter substance achilein, a derivative of the sesquiterpene guanine, tannins, resins and organic acids. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the aerial parts. Contains cineole, thujone, ninene, borneol and sesquiterpenes (azulenes).
Drug used: The drug consists of the collected during flowering and dried upper parts (Hebra Millefolii) and inflorescences (Flores Millefolii) of the plant.
