An herb rich in essential oils, flavonoids and bitter substances. It has an appetite-stimulating, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and diuretic effect. It helps with bleeding and with pain and inflammation of the gums. It is used for diseases of the kidneys, liver and stomach.
Widespread: On calcareous rocky places. Distributed only in the countries of the Balkan Peninsula up to 1800 meters above sea level.
Content: Contains 0.1 – 0.5% essential oil (containing azulenes), the bitter substance achilein, choline, tannins, apigenin, mucilaginous substances, inulin, ascorbic acid, tannins and essential oil and others.
Drug used: Herb stalk (Herba Achilleae clypeolatae) and flower baskets (Anthodium Flos Achilleae clypeolate)
